6 Months old already?!

I'm definitely horrible at this whole blogging thing! Every month I think about adding another post to the blog but then as soon as a sit down to do it, something happens. I guess that's just how things are when you're a wife and mother! I wouldn't change a thing though, I love every minute of it all!

So my baby boy just turned 6 MONTHS OLD!!! Where did the time go? People aren't joking when they say "Don't blink because you'll miss something." It certainly is true. I have been lucky enough to be able to still work as a many and bring Leo with me. It's such a blessing to be able to spend all this time with him and watch him grow! He is sitting up like a champ, rolling all over the place and even starting to push up on his hands and knees as if he is going to crawl :/   (I'm so not ready for that!!) He's also eating baby foods at least once a day and can finish a whole container in one sitting! His favorite food right now is sweet potatoes, he growls at me if I don't feed him fast enough :)    We have also discovered that he LOVES the water. We have been to my parents' house a lot this summer and he just has the time of his life. It's so crazy to me, he will sit on the first step and splash himself in the face and doesn't mind at all, he even laughs sometimes! Luckily he has my skin tone and has even gotten a little bit of a tan! (I was so nervous he might get his daddy's skin tone...) He is also starting to get more and more hair. He had "bed head" for the first time a couple weeks ago :D  I know that sounds funny but if you've had a bald baby you know exactly how I felt.

I could go on and on about all the amazing things Leo does (and hopefully that will get me to blog more). But what I really wanted to post about was how grateful I am to be a mother! I can't express in words how much I love my son and the joy he brings into mine and Jake's lives. He truly is a great baby and I try my best to never complain about anything he does because he is a precious gift from my Heavenly Father who has trusted me enough to send him to me. I make sure to thank Him every day for sending Leo to me and pray that I might be a good mother and do everything I can to raise him right. I love my Savior and I will try and follow in His footsteps so that I will be able to be a good example to my son, and for the other children that will be sent to me in the future. I absolutely LOVE being Leo's mommy and I can't wait to see what the future holds!
